ABSTRACT
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including ultra-short chain PFAS (C1-C3), are increasingly detected in environmental waters and food matrices. While EPA 1633 defines methods for targeted PFAS, analytical challenges remain for simultaneous extraction and detection of a broader PFAS panel. In this presentation, we present the results of our automated solid phase extraction (SPE) workflow using the SPE-03 system that co-extracts for subsequent analysis of over 60 PFAS compounds from C1 to C20 across various matrices, including drinking water, river water and food samples. This approach is beneficial to reach high sensitivity and could be combined with other normal PFAS measurements.
