John Healey
John Healey leads the national fish tissue monitoring program for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Science and Technology, where he has worked for 8 years. The fish tissue monitoring program collects fish composite samples from the Great Lakes, and from rivers and lakes throughout the 48 contiguous United States, for analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). These national probabilistic surveys are conducted in collaboration with EPA’s National Aquatic Resource Surveys, and the results provide a national baseline assessment for these contaminants.
