Sarah Esenther
SARAH ESENTHER is a PhD candidate at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society. Her work investigates the impact of climate change on hydrology and water quality to shape local public policy. She has worked with the East Shore Health Department water quality program since 2019 and received her Masters of Environmental Health Science from Yale University in 2020.
MICHAEL PASCUCILLA was appointed as the CEO/Director of Public Health for the East Shore District Health Department in 2010. Mike is an active public health leader, past President of the CT Association of Directors of Health (CADH), and past President of the Connecticut Environmental Health Association (CEHA). He is also the Northeast locate representative on the Conference for Food Protection as an executive board member.
Michael holds a B.S. degree in public health/nutrition from Southern Connecticut University (SCSU), a master’s degree in public health from the University of Connecticut, and a study abroad Ph.D. program in Global Health from Queen Margaret University located in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist with over 30 years of experience as a public health official. His published research is focused on food allergens, water quality, climate change, and citizen science.
In addition, Michael is an Adjunct Professor at Southern Connecticut State University and a Lecturer at Yale University in the School of Public Health located in New Haven, Connecticut.
Michael resides in the Town of Guilford, Connecticut, with his wife and two sons.
