Leon Vinci

Dr. Leon F. Vinci is a reknowned leader in the Environmental Health arena. As a scientist, practitioner, health professional, environmental epidemiologist and educator, he is widely published and has presented across the country to various professional society environmental meetings and international symposia.

He serves as a co-chairman of the Participatory Science track at this meeting, and holds an Adjunct Faculty post at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Over his illustrious 30-year career in environmental health he has addressed important issues as Climate Change, Water Quality, Vectors and Infectious Disease, and Citizen Science, to list a few. In his expert-capacity he continues to serve on numerous boards and committeess such as the History of Environmental Health Task Force, American Public Health Association (APHA), the Medical Consortium on Climate Change, the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), the DHHS-DHS National Advisory Council, and NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency), along with several professional societies and organizations at state and regional levels.
