ABSTRACT
A case study review of how the real-life experience of customers can be leveraged to help create (or improve) a commercial software product. Most LIMS products are either "commercial of the shelf" or highly customized for the needs of a specific laboratory. In this presentation we will discuss a hybrid approach that considers both the voice of the customer and re-usability across a market segment. Topics will include how both the laboratory and LIMS vendor can get (and stay) engaged, benefits, risks and outcomes.
