ABSTRACT
Over the years a number of laboratory analyses of samples have resulted in false results or misidentifications of chemical compounds. These errors are repeatable and are not uncommon. This presentation summarizes several cases in which such errors have occurred and shows the primary reason is the lack of a strong Quality Management System as described in the TNI laboratory accreditation standard.
