James Garcia
James Garcia possesses a Master’s Degree in Applied Natural Science (chemistry) and Bachelors in Chemistry and Biology. He currently serves as a Senior Chemist with USEPA’s PHILIS Program. He has worked for more than 15 years with analytical chemistry and methods development in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries. He developed methods for UPLC/MSMS for the detection of Chalcones and flavanones in blood, plasma and various tissues, and methods for detection and quantitation of chemical warfare agents and degradation products via GC/MS, GC/LTM-TOF, UPLC/MSMS. He developed methods for detection and quantitation of opiates and opiate derivatives as well as 4th generation nerve agents from environmental matrices for UPCL/MSMS.
