Mitzi Miller is an environmental chemist and a highly experienced project manager with expertise in analytical chemistry and quality programs for environmental applications. She performs audits as a third party NELAC/TNI assessor for OR, MN, LA, FL, KS. She has over 42 years of experience in analytical laboratory assessments and data quality audits and assessments. She has 32 years of experience supporting various legal cases. Mitzi is a recognized professional in the area of environmental data validation; she has a working knowledge of the rules, regulations, methods, and applications of the data that makes her an astute observer of environmental operations and the resulting environmental data. Her data validation services have been in accordance with the most recent National Functional Guidelines and the SW-846 Quality Control (QC) Criteria for EPA methods, and the project-specific requirements ensuring validity for use in risk assessments and quality requirements. She averages 30 environmental, PT provider, reference material provider audits per year for the past 15 years. Mitzi has lead contracts providing TNI third party assessments for the states of LA, KS, MN, FL and OR. In addition, she led a team of assessors supporting California in auditing drinking water laboratories and training assessors. Ms. Miller has supported numerous other environmental legal cases since 1987, working under prosecution and defense. Mitzi is a certified DOD/ISO 17025 assessor for PFAS. She has taught other assessors to audit PFAS. She has also assessed field teams collecting PFAS samples under both NEFAP and ISO 17025.
Charles Newton has 24 years’ experience as an environmental chemist and a highly experienced project manager with expertise in analytical chemistry and quality programs for environmental applications. His two decades of experience with Eurofins TestAmerica and its predecessor companies has afforded Mr. Newton with the opportunity to hold roles in Operations Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Customer Service, and Quality Assurance. Prior to assuming the role of Vice President of Operations, Mr. Newton served as Laboratory Director in Mobile and Pensacola for 8 years. During his tenure as Laboratory Director, Mr. Newton successfully oversaw the merge of two laboratories, and also served as the local leader of Eurofins TestAmerica’s Houma Emergency Response Laboratory and Sample Management Office in support of the Gulf of Mexico Deep Water Horizon incident.
