Heather Lord
Dr. Heather Lord joined Bureau Veritas 2012 and is currently the Senior Manager for Bureau Veritas’ Advanced Organic Testing Services. She manages the testing and reporting of priority and emerging organic pollutants such as PFAS, PCB, Dioxin, Furan and PAH in food and environmental media, which are analysed by the LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and high resolution mass spectrometry teams.
Prior to joining Bureau Veritas Heather was a Research Associate in the Chemistry Department at the University of Waterloo. She managed the activities of an industrial research chair program for new analytical methods and technologies. Heather has co-authored a technology patent, edited two books on sample preparation, and has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She earned her PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2005 at the University of Waterloo.
