ABSTRACT
Analytical procedures for SM 9221 & 9223 involving total coliforms, fecal coliforms (heat-resistant), and Escherichia coli (E. coli) are well-known analytical methods for monitoring contamination of surface water, drinking and domestic and industrial wastewater. However, due to their uniqueness to ordinary analytical testing, nearly all microbiology laboratories continue to use inefficient and rudimentary manual recording operations throughout the testing lifecycle, from sample preparation to result readback, and its processes is never fully Integrated into the modern LIMS.
The E. coli Lab is a newly released software designed to automate coliforms analysis and complete validation of the data. Its comprehensive visual process is designed to be intuitive and easy to operate. The system is currently live in the CCWRD laboratory and integrates seamlessly with the existing LIMS.
