ABSTRACT

Each day, approximately 10,000 Baby Boomers in the US turn 65.  The average retirement age has dropped to 62 and in the middle of the ‘great resignation’, companies are finding that many in their leadership ranks are choosing to retire at an even earlier age.  As companies in every industry face the fact that much of their top talent and senior leadership will age out of the workforce in the next five to 10 years, organizations are realizing that they need to make succession planning and talent development one of their top priorities over the next few years.

This session focuses on the critical steps that organizations must take to identify key positions and the appropriate successors to those roles.  Participants will learn the keys to implementing a business-focused talent development program that includes leadership development, a high potential program and coaching and mentoring.  These programs prepare leaders to fill vital roles, provide cutting edge programs that enhance recruitment and employee engagement at all levels.
