ABSTRACT
Standard Methods Part 4000 is adding three new methods for cyanide based on gas diffusion amperometry. These three new methods are for free cyanide, available cyanide, and total cyanide. There are equivalent methods at ISO and ASTM. This presentation will cover why there is a need to include these in Standard Methods, and discuss the similarities and differences between them and the previously published methods. Validation data will be presented.
