Caleb Allpress
Caleb is a Scientist at Syft Technologies, where his work focuses on the use of mass spectrometry for air quality monitoring. He has been involved in developing new approaches to monitoring volatile organic and inorganic compounds in the environmental, indoor air, and automotive areas. Caleb holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Utah State University, where he studied the molecular mechanisms for the enzyme-catalysed release of small gaseous molecules such as carbon monoxide, and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Canterbury. He has extensive experience in an array of instrumental techniques for trace analysis, including SIFT-MS, ESI-MS, GC-MS, GC-FID, FTIR and UV-visible spectroscopy. He is also involved in advancing standards for air quality monitoring at ASTM and ISO.
