Dr. Bahar Nakhjavan is a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Environmental Safety Laboratory within Center for Analytical Chemistry at California Department of Food and Agriculture. She has designed and managed numerous method development projects, method validation studies, and has written or revised dozens of methods. Previously, she was a Research Scientist for California Department of Public Health with focus on developing methodologies for heavy metals analysis in foods, cosmetics, and dietary supplements in collaboration with FDA. Bahar has an extensive knowledge in Synthetic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry and earned a Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry with emphasis on NanoBio Science from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany.
