ABSTRACT

Analysis of polyaromatic hydrocarbons on traditional Gas Chromatography systems is historically time intensive for a few key reasons. To adequately resolve the isomers and structurally similar compounds that exist in a target list, columns are long, and carrier gas flows are low. By implementing direct heating technology on the column, the acquisition time of a targeted run can be drastically reduced. Combining direct heating technology, high efficiency columns, and method translation tools, this poster will demonstrate an exciting opportunity to decrease analysis time while maintaining data quality.
