Michael Delaney
Dr. Michael F. Delaney has been Director of Laboratory Services at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) since 1993 when he was hired to start-up a new 55-person Central Laboratory. Dr. Delaney currently oversees five laboratory locations that perform the majority of the drinking water and wastewater laboratory testing for the MWRA. He has a B.S. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. He has authored over 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals. In 2014, he was appointed to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB). Recently he published three peer-reviewed papers on cyanide testing in drinking water and wastewater.
