Mauricius Marques dos Santos
Mauricius Marques dos Santos is a third year Ph.D. student in Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. Mauricius was born in Brazil where he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Federal University of Technology – Parana (UTFPR) and worked as a research assistant at the Environmental Engineering Laboratory at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR). In 2014 he joined the University of Arizona with a scholarship from CAPES Foundation, Ministry of Education of Brazil. His main interests are in the occurrence, fate and treatment of Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) and the analysis of complex environmental samples using analytical techniques, particularly liquid chromatography – high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS).
