ABSTRACT
The goal of this study is to find a faster and more cost effective way of concentrating extracts for triazine pesticides in drinking water. A more modern concentration method is being compared with the conventional procedure as outlined in EPA 507. Various quality control parameters are being studied and evaluated. Statistical comparisons will be made on precision, accuracy, and other quality assurance attributes.
Regulated triazine pesticides being tested include molinate, atrazine, simazine, alachlor, and thiobencarb. Improvements in various quality control parameters such as accuracy and precision, as well as detection limit validation are being evaluated. Some details on chromatographic evaluations associated will also be presented.
