ABSTRACT

In 1983, John Taylor published Validation of
Analytical Methods, a fundamental treatise that has been expanded on by
ASTM International, the American Chemical Society, the International
Organization for Standardization, and the NELAC Institute. This
presentation will cover the fundamental requirements of method
validation and show why the EPA needs to take a new approach for any
methods they publish.
