Lee Yoo
Mr. Yoo is the Laboratory Director of Advanced Water Quality Assurance Laboratory (AWQAL) in Orange County Water District (OCWD). OCWD has one of the most sophisticated groundwater protection programs in the U.S. and manages the large groundwater basin that underlies north and central Orange County and provides most of the water for about 2.4 million citizens in 19 cities.
OCWD is committed to enhancing Orange County’s groundwater quality and reliability in an environmentally friendly manner. OCWD has received the Stockholm International Water Industry Award in 2008 and numerous international and national water industry awards.
The AWQAL is internationally recognized as a leader in water quality research and analysis. Lee has worked in the field of water treatment and analysis for more than 26 years. Lee has been a USEPA Standard Method Joint Task Committee Member and author of more than 30 paper/proceedings in international journal/conferences. His specialization is the research and development of analyzing trace chemicals of emerging concern in water environments.
