Martina McGarvey
Martina McGarvey has been the Director of the PA Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Laboratories (BOL) since 2007. Prior to that, she served as the Section Chief of the Automated Analysis and Biochemistry Section from 1999 to 2007, and was a chemist at BOL from 1988 to 1999. She is a recipient of the 1999 DEP's Excellence Award as a member of the Bureau's PM2.5 Team.
Dr. McGarvey received a Doctorate in Management of Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix School of Advanced Studies in 2008. She also earned an M.S. in chemistry from Shippensburg University in 1995, and a B.S. in chemistry and a PA Department of Education Teaching Certificate for chemistry from Shippensburg University in 1987.
