Claudia Martins
Claudia Martins has a Portuguese diploma in Biochemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she had her first contact with mass spectrometry while working in a project concerning the development of a methodology for the analysis of ecstasy in hair samples. Claudia later received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. During her doctoral studies she had the opportunity to work with different analytical instrumentation such as Ion Traps, Triple Quadrupoles, Time of Flight and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, publishing several papers using different technology. She has recently edited a book entitled "Fast Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Methods in Food and Environmental Analysis ".
Currently, Claudia is the application program manager working for Thermo Fisher Scientific. She has had different roles in the company including the position as European Market Manager for Environmental.
