Jennifer Shackelford
Ms. Shackelford began her laboratory career the day after college graduation at a private environmental analysis lab. She worked in the inorganic section primarily analyzing metals by various techniques. She began her career with the City of Portland as an analyst in the wastewater process control section, moving up to process control chemist and chemical hygiene officer. This position evolved into the laboratory production coordinator, scheduling analysts and work flow. As production coordinator and also as QA/QC coordinator, she was heavily involved in the choosing and implementation of the current LIMS as well as guiding the lab through the NELAP accreditation process.
