ABSTRACT
In April 2012, the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control, Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board jointly developed the ADVISORY - ACTIVE SOIL GAS INVESTIGATIONS. As a result many are of the belief that Naphthalene is better suited to sorbent tube methodology (EPA Method TO-17) than to the traditional summa canister methodology (EPA Method TO-15).
A stability and recovery study of Naphthalene in a summa canister compared to a sorbent tube will answer the question, is sorbent really better?
