Sharon Mertens
Ms. Mertens previously had overall management responsibility for environmental monitoring and testing for a variety of programs and departments serving the Milwaukee metropolitan area. These included the Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program, Conveyance Monitoring System, Freshwater Monitoring Program, Groundwater Monitoring Program and Central Laboratory. Ms. Mertens has a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin -Milwaukee and over 35 years of experience in environmental laboratory testing and management. . She is a current non-voting member of the TNI Board of Directors where she serves as Past Chair. She also served as the TNI representative to ELAB and she has been active in many other committees pertaining to laboratory standards.
