Eric Litman

Mr. Litman is an environmental chemist with a specialization in applied forensic chemistry. Mr. Litman has conducted a variety of environmental site investigations focused on the chemical characterization of petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel distillates, coal tar, PCBs, dioxins, heavy metals, chlorinated solvents, and per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS). Mr. Litman has provided expert testimony in a variety of legal matters in state and federal courts. Mr. Litman frequently consults on CERCLA cost allocation cases with a focus on assessing the sources of environmental contamination and evaluating the liabilities of potentially responsible parties. Mr. Litman also serves as an instructor for ASTM International with a focus on developing guidance documents and training materials related to contaminated sediment investigations and subsurface NAPL characterization.
