Lalin Theverapperuma, PhD, is Co-founder & CEO of Expert Intelligence and inventor of the Limited Sample Model (LSM), a governed AI architecture purpose-built for regulated analytical laboratories. His work centers on analytical decision layers that convert raw chromatographic and mass spectrometry signals into deterministic, replayable, and audit-ready evidence, aligned to accreditation frameworks such as 21 CFR Part 11 and ISO/IEC 17025.
Previously, Lalin architected production AI/ML and DSP systems at Apple for iPhones and AirPods and led Hybrid ML initiatives at Meta Reality Labs. At Expert Intelligence, he applies that production-scale AI rigor to environmental LC-MS/MS and GC-MS workflows, including EPA method-driven PFAS testing. His focus is enabling exception-based review, calibrated uncertainty, and traceable automation that reduces manual burden while preserving scientific defensibility.
