Robin Cook

Mrs. Cook has been the Manager of the Regulatory Compliance Division at the City of Daytona Beach since 2009. In this position, she is responsible for the supervisory staff of the lab as well acting as the QA/QC Manager. She was hired as the Compliance Lab Manager in 2007, before being promoted to her current position in 2009. Mrs. Cook earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. Before moving to the City of Daytona Beach, she worked as an analyst in a small lab attached to a wastewater plant with Florida Water Services (a privately owned utility) followed by several years as a senior analyst and technical director with the Environmental Lab Division (a commercial lab) within Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.
Robin served on the TNI Quality Systems expert committee from 2006 through 2012, and when TNI developed Microbiology as a separate autonomous module, she served as the inaugural Chair of the TNI Microbiology Expert Committee from 2013 to 2020. In Jan 2021, she rejoined the Microbiology Expert Committee. Additionally, she serves on the TNI Advocacy Committee and operates as the Small Lab Advocate within TNI, as well as being on the Board of Directors. Robin has been a member of Florida Society of Environmental Analysts (FSEA) since 1997 and has served as a board member since 2008.
