Omobayo Salawu
Omobayo A. Salawu, Ph.D. is a Senior R&D Lab Chemist at Lummus Technology, where he develops analytical and treatment strategies for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging contaminants in complex industrial water matrices. His work focuses on improving analytical reliability and translating laboratory methods into robust workflows suitable for challenging environments such as landfill leachates and high-strength industrial wastewaters. Dr. Salawu has over nine years of experience in water and wastewater research, including PFAS fate and transport, adsorbent development, and pilot-scale technology evaluation. He holds multiple peer-reviewed publications and U.S. patents and received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
