ABSTRACT

Quality system implementations often struggle with being effective. A dynamic of conflict often arises as Quality requirements place a burden on operational efficiency, leading to a high level of resistance at all operational levels. With strong leadership, both in Quality and Operations, a partnership can be forged that facilitates a path that harmonizes the rigor of Quality with operational efficiency. A case study for this process will be presented along with key take-aways for similar laboratories.
