ABSTRACT

The Environmental Monitoring Coalition (EMC) was created in 2020 to address a void created by the dissolution of EPA’s Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board. Founding EMC partner organizations include:  

* American Council of Independent Laboratories

* American Water Works Association

* Association of Public Health Laboratories,

* The NELAC Institute, and

* Water Environment Federation.

EMC was established in response to the need for the environmental monitoring community to have a mechanism to develop consensus opinions on issues affecting environmental monitoring. This presentation will provide an update on recent EMC activities
