ABSTRACT
This presentation will describe the design, development and completion of IDEXX's new Horizon Center, home to the Water division of IDEXX. This space encompasses a variety of spaces including R&D, Quality Control, manufacturing, and warehousing of raw and final products. The variety of personnel involved in designing this space resulted in innovative ideas from capturing exhaust heat from appliances for ambient heating to including drain basins in the QC laboratory for draining water baths to retention ponds and native plants that produce food. In this session, you will learn about the process and people involved in the completed structure and maybe ideas for your own laboratory space.
