ABSTRACT

Collision gases are most effective when combined with Kinetic Energy Discrimination (KED) to either exclude the interference based on size, or to physically break apart the polyatomic via collisional induced dissociation (CID). However, there isn’t a one size fits all approach that covers every interference in every sample matrix. This poster presentation will explore an innovative approach using collision/reaction cell gases on ICP-MS for environmental sample types.
