ABSTRACT

Many methods allow a level of flexibility within them that can be utilized to streamline and optimize procedures. Method flexibility can be coupled with the allowable regulatory flexibility to further expand the optimization and increase productivity for methods. Standards are written to cover a wide variety of laboratories and methodologies. This makes them inherently flexible. We can utilize this flexibility to improve our Quality systems processes so they are functional and non-burdensome to the laboratory. This presentation will cover ways to properly utilize of the flexibility that we as laboratories are allowed to our benefit.
