ABSTRACT

Environmental laboratories have been conditioned to view an assessment finding as a negative experience. Very often those same findings provide an opportunity to improve a Quality Management System (QMS). Addressing and correcting findings shows that our QMS is working. Volume 2 Module 5 is an outline for such a system for Microbiology. Understanding the reason for the requirement and how to implement a scalable solution will help develop new and refine existing Quality Management Systems.
