Chris Shevlin
Chris Shevlin is the Scientific and Educational Affairs Manager for Ion Chromatography and Automated Sample Preparation group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In his current role, he is partnering with scientists on new applications, developing scientific and educational content, as well as working with new products and innovations. Some of the applications areas where Chris concentrates are environmental analysis, especially PFAS, as well as sample preparation methods across many industries. He is an active member on several ASTM and ISO committees for both PFAS and water quality.
In 2015, Chris joined Thermo Scientific working with their chromatography and mass spectrometry systems and in 2019 moved into a product marketing role for Ion Chromatography and Automated Sample Preparation business unit. Chris was promoted to Scientific and Educational Affairs Manager in 2021.
Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Chris started his career running HPLC and mass spectrometry in the pharmaceutical industry. After some time in the laboratory, he worked for a few analytical instrumentation vendors concentrating on various chromatographic and sample prep techniques. Chris’s entire professional career has been focused on chromatography, mass spectrometry and sample preparation.
