Nicholas Slawson
Nicholas Slawson is a Senior Accreditation Officer at the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). He supports the day-to-day operations of accreditation by assisting clients in obtaining and maintaining accreditation for labs in the Environmental Program on the Life Science team including work with the DoD accreditation program, DOE accreditation program and the DAGCAP accreditation program. He also ensures that the assessor reports, responses from laboratories, and the status of deficiencies with laboratories are reviewed and evaluated. He has been employed as an Accreditation Officer for A2LA since June 2015.
Nick is certified as a 17025 assessor, an Inspection Body Assessor, as well as a certified Forensic Quality Assessor for A2LA. He also serves on the board of directors for TNI and as a member of the Quality System and Laboratory Accreditation Body Committees.
Nick also trains on the new 17025:2017, Risk Management and Corrective Actions for A2LA. He has also helped create various documents for the new 17025:2017 standard including the currently published FAQs.
Nick received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Hood College located in Frederick, MD in May of 2015
