Adrian Gonzalez
Dr. Adrian Gonzalez earned his doctorate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) in December 2017, and is the Technical Manager of the Water Quality Core Facility (WQCF) laboratory, housed within the UTK’s Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department. While working on his dissertation, he collaborated with National Park Service professionals and university principle investigators, and managed a research laboratory, providing technical and analytical support to numerous graduate students and researchers. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Pomona College (California) and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from Manhattan College (New York). In 1993, he accepted an environmental scientist position at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Over the next 18 years, he worked for engineering consulting firms, and in 2012, he accepted a 12-month science fellowship at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in Maryland. Dr. Gonzalez works to provide excellence in technical service and support across a broad spectrum of environmental monitoring and research projects.
