Martha J.M. Wells Ph.D. has practiced chemistry for 37 years in increasingly responsible professional research, teaching, and administrative positions in the federal government, industry, academia, and as an entrepreneur. Wells received her B.S. degree in chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University, and her M.S. degree in medicinal chemistry and Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Auburn University. Wells founded EnviroChem Services—a woman-owned small business consulting firm in 1995, specializing in Chemical and Environmental research and education, www.envirochemservices.net. Wells is also Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus, at Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, Tennessee. Wells was inducted as an American Chemical Society Fellow in the Class of 2017.
