Vanessa Soto Contreras
Vanessa Soto Contreras, born and raised in Puerto Rico; Ms. Soto graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, where she obtained her BS in Biology. After graduating, she moved to Atlanta, Ga where she worked as a Senior Research Specialist for Emory University in conjunction with the Center for Diseases Control, doing antiviral drug research against HIV and other pathogens with Dr. Raymond Schinazi. After 3 years, she moved to Jacksonville, FL where she began working with the Department of Health as a licensed Medical Technologist, and later on, she moved to the Laboratory Certification Program section. Ms. Soto has been working for ELCP for 27 years, as an EPA Certified assessor, In-house Coordinator and currently, Program Administrator.
