Nirmela Arsem
Nirmela Arsem currently works as the Laboratory Services Manager at East Bay Municipal Utility District, Oakland, California; she has held this position for the past 12 years. Her current interests are: process improvement, developing her staff to take on leadership position, and to help laboratory professionals excel in the water/wastewater utilities.
She is currently the chair of Bay Area Clean Water Association (BACWA) laboratory committee, and a technical reviewer for the Regional Monitoring Program. She has presented at Pittcon, California Water Environment Association, and AWWA’s Water Quality Technology Conferences. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Technology from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok.
