Katherine Strickler
Dr. Katherine Strickler is currently research faculty and aquatic ecologist at Washington State University. Since 2011, her co-investigators Dr. Caren Goldberg and Dr. Alexander Fremier at WSU have worked to further environmental DNA methods for detecting at-risk and invasive species. The team's Department of Defense-funded project received the ESTCP Project of the Year Award in 2017. Dr. Strickler received B.A and M.S degrees in biology from Stanford University and her PhD in fish and wildlife sciences from the University of Idaho. In addition to research on eDNA methods and applications, her work is also focused on communicating eDNA research and tools to natural resource managers.
