Maria Friedman
Ms. Friedman started working for California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program this year, and manages the daily operations of its Assessment Unit in southern California. Previously, she spent more than 25 years in the environmental laboratory industry. For past 11 years, Maria was Quality Assurance Manager for laboratories in Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, and Irvine, California.
She has been an active participant in The NELAC Institute (TNI) since 2005, when she joined TNI's Information Technology Committee. She chairs the Proficiency Testing Program Executive Committee and formerly chaired TNI's Stationary Source Audit Sample Expert Committee. She holds an MBA degree, a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, CQA certification from ASQ, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of California, ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Assessor certification from ANAB, and is a US EPA Certification Officer for Organic Chemistry and Protozoa in drinking water.
