ABSTRACT
Reliable method calibration is needed to provide quality analytical data and laboratory evaluation and accreditation. An overview of the challenges associated with calibration of qPCR methods for environmental applications will be presented. Practices from other regulatory fields to provide certified reference material and qPCR method verification and validation will be reviewed for lessons that may be applied to environmental water monitoring.
