ABSTRACT
It has been 30 years in the making, but finally, the 40 CFR Part 136 Method Detection Limit (MDL) procedure has been updated, following a collaborative development process between TNI and EPA. This presentation will discuss the reasons for the changes and examine practical ways in which laboratories can efficiently comply with the new requirements. Put another way, the presentation will illustrate how laboratories can simultaneously comply with EPA, TNI, DOD and various state detection and quantitation limit requirements, thereby improving data quality and reliability, without going crazy or breaking the bank.
