John Jay College of Forensic Science Class of 2008 – MS in Forensic Science
Chris currently works at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an Environmental Scientist. He is a member of the Environmental Response Team stationed in Edison, NJ. Chris assists all of EPA’s 10 regions in everything from emergency response operations to long term environmental cleanups. He has been at the position for 5 years and before that he was a Hazardous Materials Responder for New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). During his tenure at the DEP, Chris responded to chemical spills all through-out the 5 boroughs of New York as well as assisting NYC’s Police Department in Weapons of Mass Destruction threats. Chris uses his chemistry knowledge to help train local responders in how to properly handle chemical threats and spills.
