Richard Burrows
Dr. Burrows is the Director of Technical Services for TestAmerica’s network of laboratories in the United States. His duties include implementing new technology, improving existing methods, and leading technical groups within TestAmerica.
Dr. Burrows has over twenty-eight years of experience in analytical chemistry in academic and commercial laboratories. He has eighteen years of experience in management and technical direction of environmental laboratories.
He has been actively involved with environmental methods and techniques through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL) organizations. His method development work has involved bringing new perspectives to method detection limits (MDLs), calibration, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and method development.
Dr. Burrows is currently chair of the TNI Chemistry Expert Committee and a member of the Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board. Dr. Burrows received his B.S. in Chemistry and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Bristol, in England.
