ABSTRACT
EPA’s Office of Science and Technology will briefly summarize current Clean Water Act (CWA) method projects, and then describe OST’s current initiative to prioritize Clean Water Act Method development, validation, and revisions. The presentation will discuss current findings in the evaluation of emerging contaminants and the identification of current CWA methods that need revision. Emerging contaminants are evaluated on the following criteria: occurrence, toxicity, availability of published and validated methods, cost, and stakeholder feedback. At the conclusion of this presentation, the Office of Science and Technology will lead a discussion with the audience to solicit feedback about their current needs for CWA methods.
