ABSTRACT
This presentation is aimed at both TNI-accredited and non-TNI laboratories, and describes when reference materials are required and when they must be ISO Guide 34 CRMs. The certificates that accompany reference materials can be confusing. This presentation goes over what you can expect on Certified Reference Material certificates (based on ISO Guide 34:2009 and ISO Guide 31:2000), and how to interpret that information. It also goes into some examples of certificates that could be misleading or that could lead to inappropriate use of reference materials.
