ABSTRACT

There are multiple accreditation requirements that are used to assess laboratories. From clients to state and federal agencies there are a variety and sometime conflicting requirements. Testing requirements are not risk based decisions on data quality made by the laboratory but are prescriptive requirements set by data users. There is a variety of systems that can be established in a laboratory to address requirements and help the laboratory to improve efficiencies in the testing process. This presentation will describe several of these systems that will help the laboratory to manage the testing process, improve profitability and ultimately produce data of known and documented quality.
